The river of life, teach us with the pass of time and years in our life, we get what we want, or not, but in the road we create or serve to the "gods" money, fame, success, all that makes us feel complete, but we won´t be complete till we finally left that charco and the things that cause us pleasure in life, we let ourselves become free from pleasure and gods, we let ourselves been FREE, and have a simple life which doesn´t involve money or material pleasures....it can´t be simple but i can be done, fame and succesfull hide behind happiness, our happiness is our sucess, unfortunely society has told us that fame, sucess and money make us feel happy, but that´s not true, that just pleasing our pleasures, our egotism...let yourself be free from those gods, remember the important things in life, that we might not invest time on it...family union, love to others, sharing knowledge, let us be more like, put ourselves in the line of the river and less on the charco

yarn....selfknowledge

Go to your house, only with a piece of yarn, get inside of your house....you can do it faster..those were my words to the kids. Let´s play and learn with your teachers, this activity involve not of teachers Madre Pilar Izquierdo this was a moment of integration and knowing a little bit more of the kids and teachers taught, let them known themselves a little bit more. let them share a little bit more, beyond responsabilities. cause social service involve knowing yourself, and helping others to be better on what they do everyday, this also help me to understand my work with kids, in garabatos, it also make me think about the quality of my work and the energy i put on it. think also that sometimes is hard to see our mistakes if we don´t have someone else to tell us. So this social service help me to grow intelectually and personally, help me to understand more of what i want to be, how i want to do it, how much can i change, how much can others teach me...at the end i thought i was helping somebody else, but i was helping myself. So Thanks!

Play outside

Have fun in the park, this days teacher prefer silence, or better jet robots in their classes, not children, asking can´t be an option know, but this makes us less curious or just lose the chance to say something without the pressure of someone asking us to be quite. in a few hours the children and I when out to the park and play, so much, we went to the slide, play at the "escondidas" and the "lobo" and also "a las cogidas" it was so much fun, they laugh, they play, because they always need someone to play with them, not adult that take care them when they are playing, parents should be involve and share the time with their childs. have fun for a while. cause when we grow we forget how much fun was been on a slide, how much fun was runing form one side to the other, play with a puppet, everything that involve movement, was fun, but unfortunely with the pass of the years, we forget about that, and we become so adults that we can be in the shoes of the kids, that want to be a few more minutes in the park, and playing with a ball, ecc. we become adults, and that maybe put us a stop on our legs, and a stop on our brain, saying that movement (like running) it not that fun anymore, we start to think that personal grow it´s fun, acquiring knowledge is so neccesary that doesn´t give us time to think in something else than personal bussiness development and grow. we struggle with the kid we have inside of us for years, so i think maybe that´s why parents don´t like so much the park, or the slide, or anything that involve movement (well some parents, a few, likes playing with their childs) and prefer that teachers play with them, and left them on the kindergarten for having a great time, and run, and play, so when they come home, they only want to eat and sleeep. so i think teachers should teach to the parents this, talk to them, they will eventually pay attention, because if the teachers doesn´t become a leadership on this problem, we can´t not change this, now or never.....................

Let´s color...Let me grow

Let´s color a bird, let´s color our world, let´s be creative, let´s have fun, coloring should be that, should involve creations, knowledge, selfknowing, not only a homework, a classwork, something boring, unfortunately teachers sometimes do that, because they have to complete a program, they also have evaluations, and that comes from the students development and knowledge, perhaps that´s why in kindergarten coloring become an absolutely boring, homework. i start this activity with the kids of prekinder in Mdre Pilar Izquierdo, but i realize, the are coloring everyday, so i choose doing something different, we make a rainbow, first we did it with legos and them we pass to the color, know let me tell you something, every color have a story, friends, and family, for example, color pink is so gorgeuos and have family the mom is color red and the dad is color white, you mix them together and you make a beautiful PINK. this actually work, and it was fun, most of all for the kids, because they were laughing and speaking of it. so with all this you realize, or at least i did, that social service involve growing (which i didn´t know) intectual and spiritual, not only because you´re helping but also because you´re becoming part of something bigger than yourself.
And the people you work with, or teach (as in my case) thanks you with the product they make, or at least with a smile on their face when they see you coming!.....

Once upon a time....that´s the beginning of a cute story that involve been creative, not my creation but theirs, why i did this?, ´cause it fun when you create the story when you change, modify, put your own word and ideas on it, this story not only gave me the chance to know them a little bit more but also gave me the chance to realize we can make a change, not doing the same all over and over, we have to be creative, let the kids talk , pay attention and i believe that not only they are going to talk but also they are going to teach you with the stories they create, this let us out of that CHARCO and let us also "be in the river" of a road call life!..been creative make you think different from other people, i know this not only teach them for their developement, but i have learn so much for them that i can thank enough. well, to the readers of this blog, i hope i can share even more of my experiences with the kids but i hope my reflections make a difference.....

my little plant

ok i know it takes time for me writing here, but i´m not wasting my time i front of the tv right now, so my social work at Madre Pilar Izquierdo, my kids or students (as you prefer) are amazing jejee...but i realize they are not in touch with the nature so i needed to be creative and i brought at classes a little plant, and i explained to them, how this beautiful thing of nature grows, and i propuse them to take care of the plant that i gave to all of them that day, i was amazing because they started ti ask so many question about how much the plant care about the love and caring you could gave them, and how can they do to let them reproduce and be alive. it was interesting for me looked this reaction in them. i realize something evrytime you invest a little bit trying to explain something to others you actually learn from them, you think your teaching but seen those kids been interest about something that we consider superficial or normal, cause me curiosity, how simple things create better questioning, how can someone be surprise over a little thing!...it amazed me!...but all of this taught me something else...i was trying to let them be responsible for a life, i think i did it, cause this days they care about the plant, they even (if i´´m not directly watching) talk to the plant jeje..and told it about their families and friends and also teachers sometimes, this little plant create not only learning from me and them but also a way to create communication and let the emotion flow, like therapy..but better and easier..and cheaper jeje.....

proving the mr shirky theorie

the moment i saw this picture i realize mr shirky talk about our need to consume..from there a decide turn off my tv for two weeks..and use my time for write on the blog, read some useful information, share more time with my pets and family..find the time to do something, not just wasting my time in front of the tv..losing so many hours of resting, producing or reading. this is my second day sinces i took the decision i have real good expectation for this challenge and i think i gonna make it...sooo cheers for me jejejeje!

let´s play and learn

on wednesday 17 june, me and the kids, with their teachers, play el gato y el raton in a different version, it was fun, but i realize the teacher doesn´t like them to do that, she likes them to be on their chairs all the time, but it was a fun morning, then we even practice playing with our hands and feets, putting on this a little bit of english, which is not bad, i just hope next time they let me direct and class activity, it was fun for the childrens, i can say they enjoy it, besides it give me the opportunity to realize the truth about helping and contribuing with knowledge because, they play and learn at the same time, which dosen´t happen in classes with the teachers of the daycare

social service...long time no see you

i know that i haven´t done this at the right time, i forget that i need to write this here, but here it goes, my social action not only involve my woirk with children teaching them in a daycare center, but also involving them with the nature, making the teaching process fun and entertainment, i believe that´s the hole point, enjoying their chilhood as much as they can.
since 15 of june 2009 i have been involve an helping on a daycare center on Atarazana call Guaderia "Madre Pilar Izquierdo", i work with kids from 3 and 4 years old, i love them, spending time with them, their kisses and hugs, change my day, even when i come tired for my job, i spend 2 hours every monday, wednesday, and Thrusday. it´s fun and i love it. i also have a planification, i will upload it later because i have to scanner the documents first, i have teach them a little bit of english,not so much because the institution not allow be doing it.

Reflection about the Cognitive Surplus

when i saw this video, and after the teacher explanation, i finally realize how much we can produce and be helpful for others, not only hoping that somebody else thus something for us. we can be original enough to concive an excellent product and sharing it with others, this will contribute to their knowledge, and we will become a productive human being for our society.

this video makes me realize that a need to change my habits, wasting less time in from of the tv and producing more for others than reasting too much.

i think i have always been an producing and sharing human being, trying to do it better for others, contribuing that will be my key word.

my social action, have let me to realize how important is to do something for others, better than nothing our spending my free time in front of my plasma or sleeping, or resting. better than that i spend my time, enjoy and helping little child on a daycare center

Our topic this week is investigation of the truth, so why have I asked you to watch videos about diet in order to begin to explore this topic? What relationships can you find between the videos and the reading? What do these relationships imply about our role as individuals in our society?

The videos encourage us to protect ourselves, our body to the damage of certain material, that can tastes good for the past years can damage our body. Related with the reading we can choose our material aspect or becoming spiritual persons, been interest to create love, kindness in other and contribute to the other wellness.

They create a transformation of the women thoughts, let them choose been better or stay the same. This cooperativa offers women the chance to be independent managing their economic need and proving to their family the best, this way the help the women to have a decent job, provide education to their kids.

Wong Group

The provide education, that becomes not only a right but also a need for every child around Ecuador. It creates a unity between knowledge and a rational thinking since the earliest days of a child.

Programa de empoderamiento spiritual

The chance the course of material adolescence, the provide teenagers the chance to talk and think about regular problems, find solution, become human beings that contribute to the society, and become and active individual of the society.

new idea...society for little kids

well, now my new idea, i´m in charge of teaching english to prekinder level in garabatos school, and i love my job, except some bad days!..well i think i can contribute if we consider our nature, i´m going to teach my little 2 years 10 months kids, learn who to help the society, we are going to plant different trees, they will see the hole growing process and take care the plant, give them water and become responsible for them,i actually have big hopes for this...let´s see what happen on the next days!..let´s hope good result specially for the next women or men that will care and take care the society

tha animal shelter?

I took me a little while writing this, and find the answer on the animal shelter, but I did it, I cannot help them, there is no way to try fixing my hours at Casa Grande on Saturdays, so unfortunally this can´t happen =( so now I have to change my project, but I already have an idea…..

little cat

I had always liked dogs, but one day this change, the day I meet my new cat, Matías, the most beautiful cat, that was hitting by a lady that was mad with her husband or at least that´s what I thought.

It was a Sunday morning and I was in my house, but suddenly I heard a noise, a little cat crying, then a realize that the old lady that live in front of my house was hitting on him, and I run back down and told her to stop, she get even mad, but I didn´t care, so she told me to take the cat away, and I did it, I took the cat to my own house, off course it took him to the veterinarian to be check out, I case of diseases , but they vaccinated him, and I took him home with me. Now after 2 years, MAtias life with me and my family, and we give him love and care every day!. We love our cat, it the little one in the house.

Programa de empoderamiento spiritual

This program involved teenagers (11 till 14 years old) in a period of time with around 10 or 15 kids for a class, they make them considere certain problems that surround us day by day, this put this kid away from drugs, violence and corruption, this program contribuite with the society putting the kidsw at the very early teenager period, to think in real solution to hipotetic problems, not only makes you thionk but also makes you act and contribuite. This program involved commitement, it requires that this kids put 3 years of there life thinking, working, helping and finding solutions, it makes them analytical and reflective to what they do and how they do it, in the real life.
Make them find solution even when the problems can be surround them.

what i think about De Todas

When I think in “De Todas” now I can actually related with the word integration, because you can be part of a system that it is corruptive, full of violence, and even without wanted you can be involved on it but this women make a change in their life’s, stood up and did something to get a better life, better job, a happy space to related with people like themselves, they choose not to give up but to grow in a placed that give them the opportunity to become an active participate in the society, to contribute with what they know how to do it, it give them courage to be their own bosses. That becomes an example for all of us, to follow their paterns and to do something, to make a change in the society, to realize that nothing is impossible when you count with people around you to support you proyect, like in “De Todas”

It is an institution that provides financial support and capacitate women without possibilities of credit in the financial system. This group is supported by teachers in the different high school of Guayaquil, manager of high enterprises, ecc.
This cooperative help women to work in something that they like and enjoy it, it provides financial support to the families based on their personal business, it give them continuous capacitations and teach them how to make a effective product or something to sell.

here are the questions and the respective answers, so you can realize how De Todas it´s a original cooperativa, how they make a change in women?

1. how can De Todas change your life?

• Carmita (50 years old) it´s provide me an opportunity that no one else could, now I can provide money and food from my 3 children and considered the possibilities to save money for their future, I can provide them education and emotional support, economic stability which I had been searching for so long time ago.

2. What it has been the most important factor for your development in De todas?

• Probably it has been the stimulation the gave me, and knowing that I am not alone, that i´m surrounded by so many women like me which are trying to do their best every day

3. How does your family feels since you are related with De Todas?

• My kids, and my sister support me at first and them my husband also realized how effective this financial support has been for our family and our future

4. When did you realize it wasn´t a bad idea been related with De Todas?

• Exactly when I have my first client buying my bracelets and necklaces early in the morning just when I open my door.

5. Did you ever doubt about been related with De Todas?

• I had second thoughts, but at the end I realize it was the best that I have ever done

6. How much time have passed since you first realized you were in the right place at the right time in De Todas?

• After my first week, I knew it was right to be here, I knew it was the best I have done for myself after so many years of trying to help my family
